Matt Power

WordPress & SEO Specialist

My name is Matt Power and I am a partner in Virtual Web - a site dedicated to WordPress and SEO education in the form of tutorials, blogs, videos and courses.  I also co-organise a monthly WordPress meetup in sunny Brisbane, Australia that is dedicated to WordPress beginners and have learnt that although WordPress has a strong community and plenty of online resources there are those moments where you simply need some one on one guidance.  That is why I offer these one-on-one video & screen share meetings in durations ranging from 30 mins to 2 hours.  I look forward to working with you.

Since engaging Matt in December 2017 to review to my website and implement an SEO strategy, my course enquiries and enrolments have increased considerably. His knowledge of SEO and exceptional analytical skills has enabled me to address issues which have had significant positive results which have to this point been achieved without the outlay of advertising expenditure. Matt has provided much needed advice and support over the past 8 months.

Matt has helped to improve both of my businesses immeasurably. In fact I had no idea how little I knew about WordPress until I started working with Matt. Building both of my sites was so easy. I would recommend him for any business hoping to improve their turnover through WordPress.

All I can say is WOW! Matt has been amazing and has helped with our website and SEO so that we have been able to nearly double our student numbers in 6 months! Over 90% of our new enrolments/trials have been due to the website and SEO work that Matt has assisted us with. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough. I won't be using anyone else ever again!

Matt knows his stuff. He is my 'go to' man for anything to do with WordPress and SEO. He won't do housework though!

The session begins as soon as we are connected via Zoom and ends when you choose to disconnect or when the booked duration ends.  I allow 5 minutes in all bookings to wrap up the final conversation.  I also allow 5 mins to connect via Zoom on the initial consultation should you not be familiar with Zoom.  The consultation email has very clear instructions on using Zoom - very little is required on your end other than a device with a good internet connection.
In most sessions, the client has a number of questions or specifics tasks they seek guidance with.  It is very rare that I won't be able to assist you at all but occasionally a particular process has slipped my mind if I haven't used it in a while.  Rather than waste further time, I will continue where possible with other queries and/or tasks.  Anything I cannot answer in the consultation I follow up on at no additional charge to you unless it is an activity that would have otherwise extended our session considerably if I had known the solution.  If this is the case I will advise you at the time.
Yes, the more information I can receive before the consultation, the more efficient I can assist you.
In the first instance we try to reconnect.  If after a couple of attempts it is clear that there is an issue that we cannot immediately overcome, then we simply reschedule another time as near as reasonable to the duration remaining.  I am very fair in my assessment and will always allow an extra 5-10 mins in the rebooking to accommodate for any time lost due to the issue.  It is very rare that the issue will be on my side.  I have a very strong internet connection on the National Broadband Network (NBN) approx. 100MB download / 40MB Upload.   I will give you a special code to use to ensure you are not charged for the rebooking.
